The inspiration for the mother earth collection initially came from a trip Nisha made to Australia. She explored the idea of creation and mother earth in nature and combined them with her interpretation of the Australian landscape and Aboriginal art.
The paintings illustrate a link between the female form and the natural features of the earth. She chose to work in vibrant, intense colours; to contrast smoothness with texture; boldness with small detail, resulting in this collection having a dream-like, fairytale quality.
