The Buddha and Mandala Collection

A collection of paintings inspired by the ancient philosophies and art of Buddhism. For Nisha the images manifested in the mind during her meditation practice while others rooted from a single expression that was built upon during the working process. Sections of the Buddha image complemented by symbols of light, colour and texture are used to emphasise the vastness of mind and space. The Mandala paintings represent the unfolding of the spiritual path by surrounding a symbolic central point with harmonious shapes and forms.
